At this time of year, many people set goals, maybe long term, medium term or short term. These terms are relevant to the individual. For some that would be 10yr, 5yr, 1yr, for another that would be 5yr, 1 yr, 6 mths and still another 1yr, 6 mths, 1 mth. OR any combination of the above.
Ask yourself what is relevant in your life right now. It maybe that you are feeling lost, in a fog or treading water – so relatively shorter long,medium,short goals will be far more beneficial mainly because holding onto a clear vision of your future is paramount to arriving at it.
Think of it this way: Have you ever driven in a thick fog- sometimes you can’t see 10 feet in front of you – you slow down and inch your way forward so you can stay on the road/path and on track to your destination.
Once you have chosen these time frames then reverse engineer your Outcome. Start with the destination and dissect the Outcome – like taking the Colonel’s chicken and analysing it to discover the ingredients -the secret herbs and spices.
Meditate on what that result would look like, feel like, sound like, taste like and smell like as well as emotionally feel like AS IF YOU ARE THERE NOW, work out the ingredients and then the recipe.
