The Lessons we learn at school are just the tip of the iceberg of education.  Most of us grow up thinking that our education = our schooling. A lot of us can’t wait to finish our schooling because it’s not a great experience. We then shy away from learning Life’s Lessons.

The meaning of Education.

The word education comes from two different Latin roots  The first is educare which means ‘to train or to mold’. This is the meaning that most people associate with their schooling. The second source is educere, which means  ‘to draw out’. These are very different  meanings that have shaped the western world’s attitude to learning.

The greatest Lessons we will ever learn are those gained from our experiences. As we learn that it’s the Lesson in every experience that is important we gain wisdom. We gain “street smarts”. As Napolean Hill said ” There is a seed of a greater good in every adversity.

If I can learn to ask the question ” What’s the lesson in this experience?” Then I will become educated. Then I will enable myself to have a wonderful Life. I will open myself up to the Power of my brain and mind. These are the core of what a real education will draw forth. Then the Lessons that life has to offer you will become obvious and therefore useful.

Life is a series of lessons to help us lift the veil that we put in place throughout our schooling education. We desperately need a world where we have pulled back the uselessness of “Blame”, “Victim”, Excuses etc and recognised the innate POWER in a Human Being. Then we can WAKE UP and Live Fully
