Is there magic in time?
We have three names for time the past, the present and the future. Each of them has a purpose because there really isn’t anything called time. It’s just a man-made construct. There’s only ever just now. Now it is all that exists, because once you go past it, there is nothing.
The advantage of those three different time frames is for example that you can find peace only in the present because there’s no peace in the past or peace in the future. They serve different purposes. The part the past plays is all about learning from experiences from the days In your life. You can learn some principles by which you can live in the present. The universal laws that govern the nature of our world – they don’t change and it’s when you can look back in the past that often you can see the the truth of the situation as opposed to the knee-jerk reaction you may have had at that time in the past. As far as the future is concerned, what the future does is it creates a sense of what could be. A compelling future is something that can propel you forward into your day and into your future. Motivation can be measured by the degree your future is compelling pulling you toward it.
The compelling future provides for a difference in potential just like we talk about with electricity. That difference causes electricity to move. We are motivated by the difference between a projected future and the present we are currently experiencing.
The challenge is, when you’re in the present, to allow the future to pull you there using the lessons that you’ve learnt from the past. They, the past and the future, don’t actually exist except in your mind and that’s why having the right mindset is so vitally important to making the most use of the magic of time.
